WHISTLE BLOWERS – PANEL DISCUSSION

What are the consequences of blowing the whistle on unethical and illegal conduct?

When he was an Army lawyer, David McBride, author of The Nature of Honour provided documents to the ABC regarding war crimes committed by Australian soldiers in Afghanistan. For that, McBride has been convicted, and in two weeks will be sentenced.

He will be joined on a panel by Jeff Morris, whose anonymous revelations about fraud and cover-up at CBA led to the Royal Commission on Banking. He has been heralded as a pied piper of whistle blowers and is known to be a great mentor.

Dr Sophie Scamps, Independent MP from Mackllar will discuss what Canberra needs to do.

The moderator will be Adele Ferguson, one of Australia’s most respected investigative journalists, author of Banking Bad, and more recently producer of a six-part ABC series The Whistle Blower.
